The Mary Wallopers - brothers Charles and Andrew Hendy - started as a three-piece Irish ballad group traveling the length and breadth of the country singing & collecting songs. Their early live performances exuded a raw energy best described as Dead Kennedys meets The Clancy Brothers.
The Wallopers expanded to a six-piece, now including Roisin Barrett on bass, Ken Mooney on drums , Finian O’ Connor on tin whistle/pipes and Catriona Gribben on accordion.
The bands latest self released album, Paddywhackery, will be available on 18th September 2026, with latest single Crowns of England showing there’s no let up.
